BLACK AND WHITE Nils has only been with us for one week but has settled in well and certainly looks forward to his meals!! He was found as a stray, very thin and dirty and was cared for by a very kind couple for a couple of months but they couldn't keep him - we feel a home as an only dog or with a bitch would be most suitable for him with someone who is home a great part of the day and who likes walking. He is very good on the lead and very affectionate. |

AGED 3 YEARSj This lovely, affectionate little dog came to us just days before she had her puppies - (she had six healthy puppies, 2 of which are reserved). Despite the terrible state she was in, she has been a wonderful mum and has now recovered from a very bad skin condition, cuts and bites. Jacqui will need a very loving home when her puppies are weaned in about 4 weeks time. Despite her ordeal, she is so friendly and trusting - will you give her the second chance she so much deserved? |

- COLLIE X MALE AGED 18M
Jeff came to us just a week ago - one of our staff was patiently trying to catch him since Christmas when he originally spotted as a stray in Salthill. Gradually she gained his confidence, feeding him and stroking him till eventually it paid off and she was able to vaccinate him and put a collar on him and have him brought out to Heathlawn. He has settled in surprisingly well in this short time - he likes other dogs, people and is doing well walking on the lead. . |

2 YEARS BLACK AND WHITE Scottie has only been with us a few days - a beautiful big friendly collie, he is in a dreadful state - a big cut on his nose and his fur is so matted he is off to the groomers to probably be completely clipped. When he comes back we won't recognise him. Has anyone a space in their home for this lovely affectionate dog who has been through so much? He will need a home with plenty of space and perhaps teenagers to play with. |

Little Bran is a gentle, friendly boy - very uncomplicated He is quite small and slim and very much needs a home where he will be part of the family - children over 6 would be good too. He gets on well with other dogs - He is a little star - will you give him the chance to shine in your home? |

AGED 6 YEARS MALES These two beautiful boys are very gentle and affectionate. They make wonderful docile family pets, need little exercise just two short walks a day and will fit into any family. They cannot be homed with cats as they have been working dogs. |

FEMALE 1 YEAR
BLACK AND TAN Sheba is a very pretty little girl, about Corgi height and looks like a Sheltie. She has long silky hair and desperately needs a loving home where someone is home a good part of the day. She is affectionate and likes attention but is still quite shy. Her sister Chelsea has just found a home so she is quite lonely up here as they were both pets but their owner could not keep. She walks well on the lead and would be a great companion for an older person too. |

MONTHS
Oscar' was the only pup his owner could not home in the litter so he was kept - sadly he has had to part with him as he cannot care for two dogs.and has kept Oscar's mother. Very affectionate - just the most beautifully coloured collie - his picture does not do him justice. He has settled in well and enjoys his walks, playing with other dogs in the fun and his food!! He would be great with teenagers and gets on well with female dogs. He comes to call and will sit and give the paw! |

Little Gina too was a pet - sadly her companion died and her owners could not keep her. She is an ideal housepet, although a bit grumpy with other dogs if they crowd her space. She would be an ideal companion for an older person or couple, or if someone would like to give this mature lady another chance |

AGED 3 YEARS Litle Skifo was found abandoned by a member of staff in Galway city- in very poor condition and suffering from a bad skin condition. Over the past two weeks he has recovered amazingle well and will soon be able to go to his new home, if you choose him? He is very affectionate and a gentle dog. Would be an ideal family pet - he walks well on the lead and likes other dogs. |

FINN - COLLIE

AGED 5 YEARS Our beautiful Finn has waited a long time to be chosen - he is housetrained, very obedient and comes to call, walks well off the lead and loves to play ball. He gets on quite well with other dogs, but would need to be the only pet, as he is quite possessive with "his people".and wants them to love him as he will love them. Someone who is home most of the day would be great, who would go for long walks and treat him as their friend and companion. We all love him and hope "his" person will come along very soon, so he doesnt have to spend another winter at the sanctuary. |

Kirsty came to us as she was found straying in Galway city. She is very affectionate, likes other dogs and LOVES people. She walks well on the lead and would be a great family pet with children over six. Strangely, she has no tail at all! She also has one blue eye and one brown, which we are told is lucky - will this help her find the loving home she needs very soon? |

Beaver was taken to the vets in Galway having been injured by a car whilst strayed or dumped in the city - the vet asked if we would take this lovely young dog so he is now settling in here. He is very affectionate and walks well on the lead. A home as the only dog, or with a bitch would be great He also seems to like children.. Will you give him the second chance he so much deserves and offer him a home with you? |

MALE AGED 6 MONTHS Muttley is a real fun dog for a family - playful, affectionate and gets on well with other dogs. He would be good with older children too and is very good to walk on the lead. Will you give this adorable mut another chance as he is still a baby at heart! |

Denis is a beautiful big white and black collie who needs a very special home with experienced dog owners. He is very nervous and frightened still as he has only been with us a few days. He is now taking a couple of walks a day and starting to settle down but it will still take some time to gain his trust. Has anyone the time patience and love to give him to restore his confidence and trust. |

GREY AND WHITE Poor little Topsy was found dumped in the Forest, just skin and bone and her coat is in very poor condition. She is just beautiful, with big golden eyes. Very affectionate, she would be your ideal family pet. She will need lots of TLC to build her up and regain her beautiful grey coat. |

much loved pet but they could not keep her. She is very nervous
in the cattery surrounded by the rest of the gang as she is used to being
the only cat - will you come and take her to the security of her own home
again?
